Waiting on Winter

koalajumperskirtcorrectoneshoesplants-Skirt, vintage from Savers / Australia knit jumper, children’s vintage size 16 / Scarf and Beanie, Glassons / Sunglasses, MinkPink / handbag, MimcoShoes, C/O: Chiyo

Firstly, I need to put it out there that I am aware of my mismatched socks. Polkadots and strips are always a good combo in my books! Secondly, it still seems rather odd to be wearing knit scarfs, hats and sweaters in Australia when the sun is shining and there is no snow for 193924734734 miles.

I have to say that this knit “jumper” featuring a loveable koala and the word “Australia” in capital letters is a serious all time favourite of mine at the moment. The best $20.00 i’ve ever spent! And how about the shoes?! Leather lace-ups with a chunky block heel… yes pleasssseeeee. Some-what vintage inspo. in the front, all party in the back!! I’m only now realising that I have no photographs of the heel… Guess you’ll have to head on over to the CHIYO website and check them out for yourself! Maybe buy a pair or two… Let’s face it, you deserve it.

Happy Canada Day everyone! Yesterday Chris and I went to The Wharf Hotel for some Canadian beer, Poutine and Beavertails! (its a desert, not actual beavertails). It was a great celebration and instead of rocking the usual plaid flannel and denim jeans, I decided to celebrate by wearing one of my brightest most fun outfits! Side note, I really need to start wearing sunglasses in all of my posts! I have the most awful blank expressions in every photo! Some of us were meant to be models… and some of us are gifted with self expression through styling. Unfortunately the “smize” doesn’t come with the latter and thats why sunglasses were invented! Now I just need to remember to wear them for every shoot. Oh well, I warned you!

Long Weekend

looktotherightshoes

PrettyLittleThing Jacket / Givenchy Inspired top / Lovisa Necklace and earrings / Chiyo Shoes / Vintage bag (Soon to be on my vintage shop!) –

So I’ve been sick for the past week with allergies :( I have puffy eyes, a bright red nose and an inability to sleep. I blame Melbournes 30 degree heatwave for this! The bees are out and flowers are pollinating because its so hot. PS. if you’re not familiar with Melbourne’s weather, this is extremely weird as it is Autumn, leading into winter! I mostly avoid the outside when i’m in this awful state, but a sunset walk to end the long weekend seemed to good to resist!

Also, how amazing is this monochrome Jacket!? It’s from www.prettylittlething.com. Once the heatwave ends and winter finally kicks in, this is going to be my go-to coat! When PrettyLittleThing contacted me to see if I was interested in trying out some pieces from their brand I was ohhsoo excited! It’s great to discover new brands and I can’t wait to show you more of their great pieces!

PPS. A haircut is defiantly in need!
